Item1236: foswiki has problems with "special" characters in usernames (e.g. +)

Version and configuration
Version: Foswiki-1.0.0, Wed, 07 Jan 2009, build 1876, Plugin API version 2.0
{LoginManager}:
ApacheLogin
{Register}{AllowLoginName}: is enabled
We are using Apache with mod_auth_ntlm_winbind to authenticate against active directory.
Our Login-IDs constists of DOMAIN+uid
For my case
WikiUsers has the entry
FlurinRindisbacher - DOM+fri
Problem
After creating or editing a topic my
WikiName isn't displayed. Instead there's "DOM_2bfri"
Foswiki replaces the + sign with _2b and therefore the Login-ID is not mapped to my
WikiName.
For testing i inserted a second Line to
WikiUsers with "FlurinRindisbacher - DOM_2bfri" and now my
WikiName is correctly displayed on my topics.

Hi there,
Patch 1.0.3 seems to have resolved our problem. i'm therefore settings this item to "no action required"
Something for your download page: I think its too hard to find the actual foswiki version.
The download Page shows only the 1.0.0 Version and the patches 1.0.1 / 2 / 3 can only be found through searching... <-- why is this?
For the patches i would create them without a directory so the users have only to copy the tgz file into their foswiki directory and issue tar xzf path.tgz
at the moment extracting the tgz create a new directory Foswiki...

I decided to hide the 1.0.1, 1.0.2, 1.0.3 before they became public because we found severe errors in them. So keep an eye for 1.0.4 and upgrade when it is available.
And thanks for helping testing the 1.0.1-1.0.3 range for us. We need people like you to get the quality high
I put this in waiting for release so I remember to put it in the 1.0.4 release note. After all it is a bug that was fixed since 1.0.0
